Start gathering information about what styles and products you like. Use kitchen and bath magazines, as well as decorating and remodeling magazines to find pictures of what you like (and don't like).
Take some time to visit our showroom. No appointment is necessary to come in and browse, gather more information and have general questions answered. We will be happy to give you a helpful measuring guide for you to take with you (or you can print out the one included in our Web site). Go home and take measurements of your kitchen. Then we should schedule an appointment to meet with one of our designers at our showroom to discuss your plans and ideas. Using the information discussed at the initial meeting, the designer will go to work by creating a preliminary layout and "ballpark" pricing.
It is also important to establish a budget so that your designer can help steer you towards products that will allow you to stay within it. Just like houses, custom kitchens come in all shapes and sizes, so it is important to know approximately how much you want to invest before you start.
Once your basic design decisions and budget have been established, it would be the time for the designer to come to your home to take accurate dimensions and a general on-site assessment of your remodeling project. With the dimensions verified our designer would either re-work or refine your design.
We offer full-service installation using licensed and insured subcontractors. New England Kitchen Design Center will act as the general contractor for you and would be responsible for the coordination of these efforts. If you choose to handle your own installation, we would be happy to work with you on a "supply-only" basis, handling only the design and sale of cabinetry.
